Olympia Undae

This image captured by NASA 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft shows part of Olympia Undae, a large sand sea located near the north polar cap. This image was collected during northern spring. As the region warms in the sun, frost is disappearing and the dark dunes are becoming more visible.
